In the media library there are some photos that might be misleading.
One is a photo of my and a friend Vicky . . we were at a concert in a big ‘barn like’ building. I’m the one on the left – she’s on the right.
The two other photos are of an award program bulletin and the ‘trophy’ which is on my bookcase.
I did not win the award for “Praying Our Way Through Stress: Drawing Wisdom from the Lord’s Life and Prayer” and it was never my intention to make it look that way.
I won the award for a short story titled What Matters that I began writing 20 some years ago and kept picking up and rewriting and started submitting it to different places and contests and it finally won an award. I changed the title of that short story numerous times (The two most recent titles were Does it Matter? and It Doesn’t Matter. One day I’ll get it printed somewhere or just blog it – one editor suggested I keep working on it and turn it into a novelette. We’ll see about that – writing takes a lot of time. I wrote a different 10 page short story that took oodles of time and hours thinking about, praying about, writing, reading parts outloud, re-writing and a friend read it in less than 40 minutes! That’s the life of a writer folks – readers takes a short time to read and be inspired – writers sometimes seem to take forever . . .
Anyway – I am unable to remove the three photos in the media library here but now you know the stories behind them . . .
