Well – it’s been a very long time since I blogged here. Long enough that I had even forgotten the login information. I finally found it!
I’ve been busy with life – had a setback with my health – emergency gall bladder surgery! Whoa – it was quite the experience! I’ve never been a patient in the emergency room for something that serious. I had been for broken bones – but that’s nothing compared to gall bladder! Had to stay overnight on IV’s because it was so infected . . . feeling much better and figuring out what I can and can’t eat since this experience.
I was also busy getting another book published – A Stable Birth. It’s a simple short story about the first 24 hours of Jesus’ birth and the stability of the faith of the characters in the biblical story. I spoke with a gentleman at a local coffee shop about it today and he said he really liked the play on words with the title. It’s received some good reviews so I hope you’ll enjoy it. You can check it out on Amazon and Barnes and Noble plus it’s in the Ingram Catalog and also Baker and Taylor Distributors.
On a lighter note – our local Writers Group, Writers at the Portage, pooled our resources and recently published an Anthology titled ‘Wisdom on the Water.’ Twelve contributing authors, three who passed away in the last two years so it’s nice to have a reminder of them – all three were very wonderful, inspiring women.
And I have a couple poems on a webpage with WFOP (Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets)
And I’ve overcome some other major health concerns and am now bike riding and participating in water aerobics! (a few years ago I was practically paralyzed and had been told I wouldn’t get better – Thanks be to God and the prayers of many, I had the strength to fight against that illness and regain my strength)
