Jesus
Born for you and me.
I want to share with you a simple little story about how the Spirit inspired me yesterday during the Christmas Day Service. Near the end of the service we were instructed to turn to page 366 in the Book of Common Prayer for the Prayer After Communion. I reached down and picked up a book and turned to 366 and prayed the prayer, but the words I was looking at weren’t those of the prayer at all – they were the words of a completely different origin – I had picked up The Hymnal 1982 and opened to Hymn 366 (Holy God We Praise Thy Name). This hymn is placed under the section in the section titled ‘The Holy Trinity” and it struck me deep into the very core of my being – what we see lying in the manger bed for all the world is the The Blessed Three in One, God, Jesus, Spirit. This is more than Jesus lying in that manger bed, more than a baby, more than anything or anyone you and I can truly comprehend – but can yet Behold, Look and See – The Baby Blessed Trinity born for you and me. We cannot lift him up – it is He who will raise us up – But we can lift up the Name of Jesus for all the world to see. And seeing – they may come to believe in the power of Love, God’s Love – the best gift we could ever give or receive.
Behold – The Blessed Trinity
May the world be reborn to Thee.
Wishing you a Blessed Christmas Season – – –
