After all those teachings that took place in the few days from the time Jesus entered Jerusalem to the time he went to the Upper Room to share the Last Supper, knowing he was going to be betrayed, arrested and crucified. And it happened, he was indeed arrested and crucified. These events are all recorded in the New Testament Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
And then . . while he was still on the cross, something astounding happened . . . Jesus asked ‘the Father’ to forgive them
I am sharing with you now a poem that I was inspired to write several years ago, and I will sing the song that came bursting out of my mouth as soon as I wrote the poem. They are both included in the book, “Praying Our Way Through Stress: Drawing Wisdom from the Lord’s Life and Prayer.” A friend of mine told me that I don’t write the notes on paper the way I sing them – that is because I have no clue how to write music or play piano. But on occasion I am inspired with a song and I try my best to put the melody on paper so other people can sing them too.
For some reason I can’t upload the video of the poem or song onto this post . . . I’ll try to put them on the Facebook Page for the Book at this link https://www.facebook.com/PrayingOurWayThroughStress
May the Joy of the Lord be our strength! Wishing us all the blessings and fullness that only God’s Grace Filled Love Can Give.
