I decided to share with you the story that earned first place last year at our local writers banquet. I am hoping one day to have it published in book form. I would really like to have some paintings or drawings published with it as I think artwork sometimes helps in story telling and in reading books to…..
In the media library there are some photos that might be misleading.
One is a photo of my and a friend Vicky . . we were at a concert in a big ‘barn like’ building. I’m the one on the left – she’s on the right.
The two other photos are of an award program bulletin and the ‘trophy’ which is on my bookcase.
I did not win the award for “Praying Our Way Through Stress: Drawing Wisdom from the…..
This is something I am learning well. I have received positive and negative feedback from having published this book. Some people who know me think that I’m being a little ‘self-righteous’ in publishing this book. I never really understand people who think this about me because I know I am not perfect and am in need of the Lord’s strength, grace, love, forgiveness and power – I know I’m a sinner in need of the Lord. I would like to share this video with you about one of the songs I was inspired with many years ago. We’ve been singing it every week at the beginning of our book/bible study in our small group. Of course – the words aren’t mine, they are a summarization of the two commandments. …..
“Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23
In a recent book/bible study I led I suggested to the group meeting that we write our own personal confessions of hope. We have the creeds in our church and on that particular Sunday we had…..
The other evening I listened to a woman talk about a stressful situation at work. That day 210 people at her place of employment were told they no longer had a job and no one knew when the cuts were going to end. People were asked to come to a meeting, they went to the meeting and many were escorted out and their spaces had been cleaned out for them.
It’s stressful going to work if you don’t know, because…..
