This is Peace from Heaven

God’s will

for all men

on whom His favor rests

 Mary carried Jesus in her womb for nine months before God’s Son, Jesus, The Prince of Peace, was found on earth.  How long will it be before all men find God’s favor?  What is this Peace that God wills for us?

It is a peace, I believe that isn’t fought for, but simply given and simply found in our hearts and minds. This heaven sent Peace is rest for our souls and in our spirits we find a way to be like baby Jesus, dependent on those who love and care for us, and it’s ok, in fact, it is pleasing to God that we would take time to rest in the knowledge of His favor and love for us.   As an adult, Jesus taught his followers, that we must become like little children in order to inherit the kingdom of heaven.  I think it is pleasing to God that we would take time to be loved.

This is a peace that tells us Love has come and will remain and will continue throughout God’s eternal reign.

This is a peace that cannot be bought, sold or bartered – this is a peace that has been freely given to the world for it’s, for our, salvation.

This is peace that gives us security with God, a sure and certain hope that all will be well with our souls.

This is Holy Peace, Precious to Behold and to Hold.

This is the Peace that God alone can give, indeed, this is the Peace that God already gave to us.

This is the Peace that Jesus Christ proclaimed.  This is the Peace that we should also proclaim.

All who receive his Peace, will be received by Him.

Let us Come to this Scene and Receive His Peace . . .

Lord, we have not been worthy, we have fought with words and weapons for peace on earth, still you offer us your Peace.

Lord, we humbly receive your peace, may your favor rest upon us.    AMEN
