Yesterday I gave a presentation to a small gathering of women. I had prepared a presentation and the week before the Lord led me to discard what I had prepared and start over. I love these reminders from God that He’s the one in control of things and messages he wants shared. Today I received an email from the organizer thanking me and said, “I now know more about the subtleties of evangelism.”

That’s the twist that God put into the presentation for yesterday. It wasn’t my original presentation. My original presentation was about how important it is for us to come to him for renewal when we are tired. While the Scriptures used were much the same as the ones that I originally planned on using, the message went from one of coming to Him to for renewal to one of coming to his Word in order to bring it into the lives of other people in very subtle and simple ways in order to engage people in conversation.

It was wonderful and the women engaged in conversation as well. The Spirit of Life, given to us by God, is given through the Word. Listening to the words people are using all around us and the words we use is important. How we can bring His Words into the lives of others is worthy of discussion.

Writing is one way that I hope to bring His Word and Life to others. I’m not so much interested in telling other people about me – I’m interested in telling other people about why I believe and what I believe about who I believe in.

I feel another book welling up in me.

Lord thank you for the Scribes, those people who took time to write about the Love of God and the Life of Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit. Please help us to keep lifting up your life and the blessed Trinity. Help us to continue to lift up the Word of God from one generation to another. Help us to renew the face of the earth through faith in you. We ask this to the glory of your Holy Name. AMEN
