One of the most challenging things during Christmas is to mourn the loss of the people we love who are no longer with us.

And I remember going to church during the Holiday Season and missing seeing her sitting in the front pew. I remember missing many other people throughout my lifetime. Today’s Gospel Reading is Luke 1:39-48 and the verse that stood out to me is this:
And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her by the Lord……
I’ve been thinking about how Christmas comes upon us making things new year after year throughout generations. Whether it’s celebrated with Santa Claus or Jesus or both. I grew up with both influences. Santa made sure nobody went without a gift – every boy and girl all around the world would receive a gift – a nice one – or coal. The whole naughty or nice thing really puts pressure on kids to behave and control themselves as parents feel…..
Something I just can’t understand is the stress people cause and experience over this argument about what to say this time of year.

Holidays are fun, they are meant to be times of families spending time together for a specific purpose. It’s interesting how these can so soon become times of stress and division for so many different reasons.
