Today’s Gospel Reading is John 12:1-11. Those of us who are familiar with this part of the story have heard about the exchange of words between Jesus and Judas when Mary used the costly perfume to anoint Jesus’ feet. Judas thought it was a waste to spend the perfume on Jesus when it could…..
One thing that has stood out to me quite often in the reading from Luke 19:28-40 is this short phrase, ‘find a colt that hasn’t been ridden . . . the Lord needs it’

After Jesus taught about what to give to Caesar and what to give to God he was approached by the Sadducees. This story is recorded in Mark 12:18-24.
The Sadducees were a group of people who said there isn’t a resurrection. They all asked Jesus about marital relationships on earth and at the time of the resurrection (which they didn’t even believe in). Interesting…..
