The reading today is from John 18:1-19,42 What stands out to me is a six word sentence. “I find no case against him.” (18:13)
Pilate finds no case against Jesus and yet he follows the custom of asking the people who to release instead of releasing Jesus himself. There are some hard things to read in this entire passage…..
As we move closer and closer to Easter we may have one of two several responses in regards to our fasting and repentance. We could be thinking, ‘Oh God, I can’t wait until this is over and I can . . . ” eat meat on Wednesdays and Fridays again, or chocolate, watch my favorite show or whatever thing or activity it is that we set aside as an act…..

A friend called me today and said June, you should read Romans. (We’ve had this conversation before and I knew exactly where she was going to take me – To Romans 1:26-27.)
I sighed and said, What do you want me to read? and she said Romans 1:26 & 27.
She read from her Bible and she said now read from yours. I said, “I’m getting so tired…..
My Parish Priest carried over All Saints Day to this Sunday so he could ask us some questions and talk to us in practicalities about saints and their lives. While he didn’t ask if they had they stress free lives he did ask us if they were all perfect. And of course we said no.
So why do so many Christians try to pretend they have perfect…..
