Hello!
I’m glad you decided to check out my blog site.
I’m also looking forward to hearing feedback from you about the book ‘Praying Our Way Through Stress: Drawing Wisdom from the Lords’ Life and Prayer’
I want to say this about the book – it’s not about church doctrine or dogma, nor is it a great theological discussion. It seems to me that it’s more about practicality and the wisdom of the Lord’s way of living and praying.
It was after spending some time with Jesus that his disciples asked him to teach them how to pray. It was after ministering to the multitudes that Jesus sat down on a mountain top and talked with his disciples, he had something important to say and we still need to listen to this great teaching which is known as The Sermon on the Mount today. It was after the Holy Spirit descended and rested upon Jesus that he was led into the wilderness. We can learn from the writings in Matthew 4 what the Holy Spirit can help us with in this generation.
Stress? You got it! You know you do – we all have it to varying degrees. Sometimes we manifest unresolved stress in our lives but with the grace of God we can begin to learn about the signs and symptoms so we can resolve it sooner, be forgiven and empowered to become more of a reflection of God’s love like Jesus.
What is causing you to experience stress in your life? And how do you typically resolve that stress?
